Common Induction Standards is an elearning course that delivers the training required under the
Common Induction Standards (CIS) from Skills for Care. It is aimed at all new adult social care
workers in a residential, domiciliary or specialist care environment.
The award must be completed within 12 weeks of employment and it is regulated the
Care Quality Commission (CQC). Common Induction Standards training is fully mapped to Skills for Care learning
Lasting nine hours, the CIS training course covers the eight Common Induction Standards and an extra module on First Aid:
