A. Obtain a copy of the configuration file, httpd.conf, from the Apache directory on cd 1. Copy this to C:\dpec\apache\conf
If you installed to a nondefault location, modify the configuration file to fit your installation path. If you need assistance with this, please contact MindLeaders Technical Support.
Troubleshooting
Q. The desktop icon does not start the courses properly. There are unexpected 404 errors in the browser, etc.
A. The most common cause of this is running another web server, most probably Microsoft Personal Web Server or the version of IIS that comes with Windows 2000. Other web servers must be shut down prior to launching the MindLeaders courses. If this does not resolve the issue, try the steps below:
1. From the Start button, select Programs, Apache Web Server, Start Apache.
2. Then open the browser and type the address http://localhost/dpec/signon.htm
3. When done taking courses, close the browser.
4. Finally, shut down Apache from the Start button by selecting Programs, Apache Web Server, Stop Apache.
Q. When clicking the MindLeaders Courses icon to run courses on a stand-alone install, the following error is displayed: “A required .DLL file, WS2_32.DLL, was not found”.
A. To resolve this error, follow the steps below:
1. Put in the 1st CD, exit out of RunMe1st after it pops up, open the folder Win95_DLL
2. Run w95ws2setup.exe to install the required .dll.
3. Reboot
4. From the same folder on the 1st CD run y2kvdncp.exe (this is a Y2K update to the DLL)
5. Reboot again. You should now be able to run the stand-alone courses by clicking on the MindLeaders courses icon.
